Another day...
No one wanted to give me their dinner shift, so I had to come home. That's not so bad...I picked up a lunch shift tomorrow, and I'm trying to pick up dinner Friday. We'll see how that goes--we are fully staffed and everyone is fighting for shifts. Put up your dukes! Today was okay...I think I made around $60, and it was not that busy. Hopefully the weekends pick up soon! I'm dying here!

Since I only wait a couple nights a week, it becomes such a bummer when tips suck...Last Tuesday I worked and made a whopping $30...it's so frustrating to know on a busy night I sometimes make that at one table! My reality check is remebering my last restaurant where $70 on a slamming night was awesome...Guess I'm jaded now!

Damn! I would starve on 60$ a day. I hope it starts to pick up soon.
The restaurant I work for now has very low checks. We are about turning tables. Every other restaurant I've ever worked in (four) had much higher check averages. It was hard to get used to, but now, I know what to expect, you know. But that's why I work so fucking much.
